Vi Substitution

when you need to replace some lines at file level, you can run a wicard command in order to change the whole file matching patterns:

you have to open through vi logging.xml and :

<property name='path'
                  value='../../../../../servers/QW_RptSvr01/logs/rwserver_diagnostic.log'/>
         <property name='maxFileSize' value='10485760'/>
         <property name='maxLogSize' value='104857600'/>
      </log_handler>
      <log_handler name='zrclient_trace_handler' class='oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLHandlerFactory'>
         <property name='path'
                   value='../../../../../servers/NameServer/logs/rwserver_diagnostic.log'/>
         <property name='maxFileSize' value='10485760'/>
         <property name='maxLogSize' value='104857600'/>
         <property name='autoFlushLevel' value='TRACE:32'/>
      </log_handler>
   </log_handlers>
   <loggers>

:0,$,s/..\/..\/..\/..\/../\/apps\/weblogic\/logs\/g

This time we only had two occurences, but they were done at only one command:

   <log_handlers>
      <log_handler name='rwserver_trace_handler' class='oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLHandlerFactory'>
         <property name='path'
                   value='/apps/weblogic/logs/servers/NameServer/logs/rwserver_diagnostic.log'/>
         <property name='maxFileSize' value='10485760'/>
         <property name='maxLogSize' value='104857600'/>

Enjoy!
